Plot Summary:

Writers, editors and illustrators alike dream of a steady place to work for. When writers finally get published they can get a contract with SPH, Sutherland Publishing House. It is located in the small town of Beaufort, North Carolina. It was founded a little while after the printing press made it's way to the United States. It has been around for over a hundred years at least. The first guy to work here and the same guy who founded the place was Alexander Sutherland who loved written works. The first year was hard as there weren't may writers or anything else. Alexander tried to put out the word as much as he could. He never gave up. As time went by more and more people became interested and SPH flourished. Things were great until the stock market crash of 1929 and the beginning of the Great Depression happened. Then every worker lost everything. When it was all over, they all came back and new people joined. It took awhile but again the publishing house was flourishing. After that the place had some money problems on and off throughout the years but it always recovered. So whether you work here or just live in town you know all about the history of the publishing house.
